I don't think there's anything more painful in life than dealing with teenagers, and dealing with 2 at one time is excruciating( I was dealing with 3, but the oldest has moved out(which is probably a good thing, because one of the 3 might not still be breathing.) I swear, if it's not one thing, it's another...."I don't feel good, do I have to go to school?" "I can't clean my room, I have too many clothes." "My ovaries hurt, can I stay home?" Her-" I want to join the Marines." Me-"You can't join the Marines, you have asthma." Her-"Why can't you ever support me?" "I need gas money." " I need minutes on my phone." Her-"should I apply to colleges?" Me- "Well, you can apply, but most likely won't be accepted because you don't have 2 years of the same foreign language." Her-"So you're saying I'm not smart enough to go to college?" Yet another way I'm not supportive of her and am doing my best to ruin her life. ARRRRGGGHHHHHH!
I do not recall being this difficult as a teenager, and I'm pretty certain I wasn't, because I spent most of my time just trying to keep my head down and not rock the boat. I'm not sure who's teenage years I'm being punished for, but I think I've done my time. Can't a girl catch a break?
